Breast Cancer Surveillance

Surveillance or Survivorship involves a personalised approach to care during and following cancer treatment

Following breast cancer treatment, a yearly mammogram check is usually performed for 5 years to look for any early signs of breast cancer returning (either within the same breast or contralateral breast). Mr Robertson can arrange this and clinic follow up care with you.

There are other aspects of care which are individualised during the surveillance and survivorship period and may involve a bone health surveillance program, regular heart checks and other complementary aspects of care. The clinicians in collaboration will develop a personalised surveillance plan for you and with your involvement.
